Peter Thobaben, He/Him
Peter Thobaben is a multidisciplinary educator, artist, and coach dedicated to fostering creativity and personal growth in students. A graduate of the University of the Arts with a BFA in Illustration and a Master’s in Art Education, Peter brings a rich background in fine arts, digital processes, and photography to his work. Currently a member of the arts faculty at Abington Friends School, he draws on a deep-rooted family tradition of teaching to create inclusive, differentiated curricula that dismantle the idea of "natural talent" in favor of accessible skill-building. Beyond the studio he remains active in the school community as a middle school cross-country coach. A committed member of the Abington Monthly Meeting, Peter’s educational philosophy is grounded in service, community engagement, and the Quaker values of equity and reflection.
