Friends Forward is a new summer gathering for faculty and staff in Quaker education to explore our unique tradition now and in the future.
Arrival and Registration
On Wednesday, July 8, registration and the optional lunch will both begin at 12pm in the Faulkner Library. The opening session will begin at 1pm in the Muller Auditorium. Please leave time to register in the library before the opening session.
Hotel and Shuttle
We reserved a block of rooms at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Philadelphia Horsham. Please note that the group rate expires on June 30.
We plan to have shuttles running between the hotel and Abington Friends School at the beginning and end of each conference day.

Meals
Friends Forward is providing lunch for all three conference days. On Wednesday and Thursday, these will be buffet style, and on Friday, we will provide boxed lunches before departure. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options will be available based on your comments in the registrant information form.
Devices
A few workshops have requested that participants bring a device to use during their presentation. If you can, please bring one to use at the conference.
Optional Thursday Night Social Activity
On Thursday, July 9, we have the opportunity to all attend an outdoor concert at the nearby Abington Art Center (walkable from AFS) as part of its Annual Summer Concert Series. If you’d like to attend, you may want to consider BYOS (Bringing Your Own Seat)—a blanket, cushion, or chair. If you are local, please consider bringing a seat for a friend who may be flying into town.
We coordinated with Abington Art Center to arrange a voucher system, so you can enjoy dinner from the food trucks while taking in the music and spending time together. This event and the meal is included in your registration fee.
